Project: Denver Zoo Entry (Exterior)

Description: When an institution has the largest visitation of any cultural attraction in the state, plans for a new entry plaza treatment must be memorable, to say the least. That’s why the Denver Zoo asked ECOS to work right alongside their architects and staff to design a first impression that goes beyond simple signage.
On a new building flanking the main plaza, ECOS developed the identity and signage for the Janus Welcome Center, along with a brand and exterior identity for one of the most important revenue-generating components of the institution—its gift shop. This one needed to grab attention. And it does.
Award: Sign of the Times Magazine 2005 1st Place award for Denver Zoo entry sign (first slide to left). Also, cover feature in March, 2005 Sign Business Magazine.

ECOS provides so much more than signage. They use their talents in art, science, education, and communications to produce materials that inform our visitors, inspire them to care about wildlife, and challenge us all to take action for conservation. They help us shape our entire guest experience in fun, accessible ways.
